Headmen (loose/complete)

Anybody who collects UZAYs knows that finding loose complete figures is a real chore. Finding a loose Headman in and of itself is a difficult task but to also have the shield is even harder. Until recently finding the sword had been all but impossible.

The story behind this figure is like something out of a bootleg collector's wildest dreams. A random gentleman from Turkey happened upon an article detailing how UZAY figures were bootlegs. Having grown up in Turkey he had no idea his toys were unlicensed. He did a little more research and found a toy collecting board to sign up to. He posted some pictures of his toys and told how disappointed he was to find out they were fakes. The very things that disappointed him brought great joy to others though because upon inspecting the photos he posted it became apparent that he had a complete set of loose UZAYs, with several doubles, and both mini-rigs. The icing on the cake was this Headman figure though because nobody had ever seen a loose sword before. It was quite a significant moment in hobby history. After many emails from excited collectors deals were struck and many of his disappointing toys were given happy homes where they are now appreciated. Joseph was extremely excited to give this figure a new home. The best part of the whole thing was that when the figure arrived he discovered it actually had a color variant shield. You want to talk about lightning striking twice?

The next shot is a group photo. Does it get any harder to assemble than this? The only known carded Headman with two loose figures, color variant shields, AND a sword. Simply amazing.

I'd like to thank Joseph for sharing this amazing picture.
