Three prominent series of Eastern European bootleg action figures were released carded during the vintage years: a Turkish Uzay line, a Hungarian line, and a Polish line. This photo shows what is probably my all-time favorite bootleg Star Wars figure, the Polish Princess Leia. I've seen a carded example of this figure which had a cape, so I'm assuming that's the way these were originally packaged. Unlike most of these Polish bootlegs, this one has the arms and legs of Kenner's AT-AT Driver figure, a detail which I've seen on some other unlicensed figures. The look of this figure just puts it over the top in my book. Those oversized arms and stainless-steel hair buns are just so outrageous--she looks like Blue Snaggletooth's prom date.
