Kenner 69185 Toy Galaxy Mobile Store Display | |
This is a hanging Kenner display piece made of thick, but not corrugated cardboard. Both sides are identical so that when hung on a string, by the hole at the top, the display could spin. It measures approximately 16" x 18" and has a space battle scene in the background which is modified from Lucasfilm photos. It was a generic sign advertising Star Wars toys as a whole. It is identical to the Toy Center hanger in qualities aside from the text.
This display is featured in Kenner's "Products for Delivery" catalog of late 1978, promoting Star Wars merchandise and merchandising aids that would be available in January and February of the subsequent year. By the time the 1979 Toy Fair catalog was released, it had been replaced by the very similar Toy Center mobile. Both displays reused the stock number of the earlier Toy Galaxy hang/pole display. |
