This is the first header/bin assembly for Star Wars action figures -- the one issued in conjunction with the original 12 figures. As is typical, the header features photos of the film's actors rather than of their representative figures. Depictions of the figures seem to have been the province of the various mobiles. It should be noted that this item wasn't a stand-alone merchandising aid; rather, it was integral to the manner in which Kenner shipped the figures to retailers, the product having shipped inside the ready-to-use display. As seen in the photo, a plastic tray was included to hold the carded figures in place. |
