Micro Collection TIE Fighter with Special Offer Backdrop: The Micro Collection was a fairly poor seller, and towards the end of the line, Kenner attempted to boost sales by including with their Micro TIE and X-Wing Fighter toys simple cardboard backdrops, in front of which the toys could be displayed. These variations are quite a bit rarer than the standard issues of these items, but they are among the most common of Kenner's "Special Offer" releases. The backdrops themselves were nothing to shout about; they appear to have been leftovers from the "Display Arena" mail away offer that Kenner was promoting at around the same time.
