Computer Banks
Computer banks are shown throughout station. They are built from scrap lumber, following diagram. Paint each white and decorate with self-adhesive plastic as described in General Directions. To make the same number as shown, you'll need to bulid 8 small computer banks, 5 large computer banks and 6 computer consoles.
Beds and Other Furniture
Beds and other furniture are bulit from odds and ends, to suit the space station motif. The bed construction is shown in diagram. For three beds, you'll need 1/2"x6"x12" of green acrylic and 1/2"-diam. x12" of black acrylic dowel. Follow diagram to build beds.
For other furniture, you'll need a small tube of artist's Mars Black paint and epoxy, white glue or glue for acrylics to glue acrylic to wood. Ideas for furniture as shown are: for lamps, use round head 1"-diam. shank button, shaded with oval wooden bead with blunt ends for base (paint base beads black); for one table, use 1"-diam. x1" dowel base, paint black and place 1 1/2"-diam. shank button with dish face covered with self-adhesive plastic foil and rim painted black on dowel base; or for other table, use same dowel base painted black and flat-face shank button also painted black; for vases, use colored glass 1" beads or oval bead with flat ends or aluminum marker caps or 3/4"-round enameled beads, all with leaves cut from green, pink and yellow acetate.
