Collectors Case Set

Certainly one of the strangest special offers to come out of the POTF era was this case/two figures set. Basically, the offer was either a Darth Vader or C-3PO collectors case, still in ROTJ packaging, with two randomly selected POTF figures affixed securely onto the front with 2 inch clear plastic tape.

It is unclear whether this was a special offer from Kenner or if store managers simply got creative in selling overstock. Nevertheless, these have been confirmed as appearing at Kay-Bee, Circus World, and Modell's chains. They retailed for a whopping $3.99. In addition, these sets were featured as a part of an article by Paul Lazo in the September 1995 issue of White's Action Figure Guide.
