This sketch is interesting. It's obvious that it was designed in a fashion similar to the Obi-Wan Kenobi coin: a facial image of the character flanked by a second image of the character standing upright and holding a lightsaber. But the production coin ended up being quite different: the standing character image was eliminated and replaced with one of Darth Vader's TIE Fighter. The text along the bottom rim was also changed from Dark Lord to Lord of the Sith.
