Mock-Up Box for Vehicle Maintenance Energizer: This is a conceptual mock-up for the package to the ever-popular Vehicle Maintenance Engerizer, the Star Wars toy with the most clumsy title. Basically, the item consists of a generic white box onto which black-and-white reproductions of photographs have been applied. Some reproductions of hand-scrawled text have also been used.

Here you see a close-up of the proposed main image. Those familiar with this toy will immediately notice that it differs greatly from the main image used on the production box. The main reason for this difference is that, for whatever reason, Kenner opted not to go with their mini-rig box style, which included a thin flap extending off the left side of the box, for this toy. Thus there was less space in which to place the graphics and the image size had to be trimmed down. Here, the VME is shown sitting closely beside an X-Wing Fighter toy. On the production box, the X-Wing remains, but it is pushed far into the background, with only its nose making an appearance in the upper left corner of the image.
