12" IG-88 Box Flat: This is an unused box flat for the IG-88 12" figure (which, of course, is a good deal larger than 12" tall). The piece is infamous as the rarest of Kenner's large-scale figure line; but its also notable for being the only 12" figure to be released exclusively in a box bearing ESB graphics. Many collectors are familiar with the legendary group of box flats showing the first-series 12" figures with updated ESB logos. But production flats such as this one are equally scarce, and they're of considerable interest in their own right.

Rob has also noticed some perforation marks on the reverse of this box, right where the thin "flap" meets the more substantial portion of the box. As far as I know, these marks were not present on the boxes released to stores.

This would be a neat piece for any collector to own. But it holds special interest for Rob, who is a notorious IG-88 pyscho. And oh yeah, he owns a pretty lame and junky hardcopy of the 12" IG-88 too. :^)
