Comp Sheet for Unproduced Droids Tatooine Skiff: Rumors have been floating around for years that the Droids version of the Tatooine Skiff was actually released at retail. So far, however, an example of the toy has never been proven to exist. What you see here is what is known as a comp of what would have been the front of the toy's package. Basically, it's the imagery planned to be used on the package, printed in color on a piece of paper. When the time came to make prototypes of the Droids Skiff package, for photography or display purposes, the color portions of this sheet could be cut out and applied to a generic box.

It's notable that the imagery employed on this item is identical to that found on the regular POTF issue of the Skiff, released in 1985. Although a different piece of artwork has been found that seems to have been intended at one point for the Droids Skiff, this comp piece provides us with evidence that Kenner planned to change only the title graphics of the toy, while retaining the POTF artwork.
