Luke Skywalker 4-up From Unproduced Dagobah Playset: Although at first glance this might seem like a 4-up for one of the many Luke figures included with the three Micro Collection Bespin playsets, a figure of this stance was not included with any production playset. The true origin of this figure lies with the Dagobah playset, which, along with Jabba's Palace and Endor, is one of the three Micro Collection environments which was prototyped but never mass-produced. Proof of this is found in the 4-up's base: it was sculpted so as to resemble the rough ground of Dagobah's terrain, a feature which is mirrored by other known Dagobah 4-ups, such as those for Yoda and R2-D2.
This particular figure of Luke would have been included with the "spooky tree" component of the Dagobah set, in which kids could re-enact the duel between Luke and his hallucination of Darth Vader. The companion Vader 4-up can be seen here.
The development of the Micro Dagobah playset is of great interest. Although early conceptual art suggests it was among the first sets conceptualized, it was not included with the Micro Collection's initial offerings; rather, it was planned for a post-Return of the Jedi release, sometime in 1983 or 1984.
