Japanese Takara 12" Luke: Although quite a few of Takara's original Star Wars toy releases were wholly-original, having no American equivalents, they also issued many toys that were simply rehashes of Kenner U.S. product. This boxed 12" Luke is an example of the latter type.

Both front and back of the box are very similar to the standard Kenner box.

The nameplate is particularly interesting. In place of the English words "Luke Skywalker," there is some foreign text, which, I assume, says the same thing in Japanese.
