Kenner Canada 20-Back Snaggletooth: This is an example of the 20-back blister card released by Kenner's Canadian affiliate. The front of the card is notable for the presence of the white price sticker area in the upper left corner, a detail which, in the U.S., appeared only on 12-Backs and the earliest 20-back releases of the first 12 figures. Snaggletooth, of course, was released after the initial 12, in the second wave of 8 figures, a fact which makes the appearance of the price sticker area here something of a curiosity. There are also some small bits of French text on the card front.

It is on the back of the card, however, that the bi-lingual nature of the package becomes most apparent. As you can no doubt see, the La Guerre des Etoiles logo is feature prominently at the top of the blister card. According to Canadian collector Scott Bradley, the first release of Canadian 12-Backs was very similar in appearance to the U.S. release; but, due to Canadian laws requiring that packages be bilingual, the subsequent Canadian 12-Backs were amended to include text in both French and English. These second-issue 12-Backs boasted the La Guerre des Etoiles logo on their fronts, as you can see here. By the time of the release of the 20-Backs, however, this logo had been removed to the reverse of the packages, where it appeared in a slightly modified version.
