Australian Empire Strikes Back Corn Flakes Cereal Boxes: Here is a complete set of box flats for the Australian Empire Strikes Back cereal promotion that appeared on Kellogg's Corn Flakes boxes in 1980. The set consists of 8 different boxes each with a different Star Wars character mask on the back.
The four 500g boxes consisted of Bossk, Luke Skywalker, C-3P0, and Boba Fett. The Bossk mask is particularly unusual not only because he's a relatively obscure bounty hunter but also since the artwork for this mask looks so odd. Each mask features instructions for making the mask along with the classic Empire Strikes Back logo.
The larger masks are printed on 750g boxes of Corn Flakes cereal and are reserved for the larger characters in the Star Wars universe (if you count Yoda for the length between his ears). These masks look strikingly similar to the masks featured on boxes of C-3P0's cereal that were issued four years later by Kellogg in the US and Canada.
As an added bonus, there are special Star Wars recipes (8 in all) printed on the sides of each box (two recipes per box) named after each of the eight characters features as masks.
