The Star Wars Figures Mystery Box: This item baffled collectors for years as to exactly what it is. This uncertainty led to it being termed as the "Mystery Box". There is no printing on the bottom and the sides are only about 1.5 in. high. One hypothesis suggested it might have been a concept for a store display. Chris Georgoulias's second hypothesis of it being "the proposed bottom of a two-part box for the in-store version of the stand" ended up being the correct one. A cromalin shown here turned up along with the explanation of the piece being an alternate 12 figure display stand store box.
