SW - Kenner toys

Does anybody out there possess a packaged die-cast tie bomber (extremely rare)?

Also, does anyone have any of the Special Action Figure 3-packs? In all, Kenner released three different boxed sets consisting of three action figures each (Hoth set, Bespin Set, and an Imperial set) which saw a very limited release and were only found in the Empire Strikes Back toy line. If you have information concerning any of the above items, feel free to update this post.

I don't have the box/blister pack for it, but I did get a NICE loose one from this guy for $100 (a good deal in my opinion). The only other one I've ever seen was at a toy show, loose for $275. It was found at a yard sale for $.50 (fifty cents), then traded to the dealer for $200 in toys. The dealer told me later that he traded it for $600 worth of other SW toys. YIKES!

I recently saw a Star Wars/Star Trek price guide and it listed the TIE Bomber at $1000-$1500. As far as all the price guides go, this is by far the most expensive and rare SW toy.

I'd only CONSIDER parting with it if someone had the original Boba Fett mail- order figure to trade. (rocket backpack)

Gee, thanks for the info, but as you can see, I'm not looking for unpackaged TIE-bombers. I'm primarily interested in packaged items (must be in MINT condtion also, which implies no creases, tears, or blunders). As far as it being worth $1000 - $1500, take into consideration that this price is for a PACKAGED item.

As far as the TIE-bomber being the most rare and valuable Star Wars toy, goes, I don't agree. I've talked to many dealers about those Special boxed editions of three action figures each (released only for the Empire Strikes Back), and most of them have never even HEARD of them, much less know a value for them. Other rare items unbeknownst to most other people include the Hoth Bacta Chamber (a micro playset), the European versions of the Death Star playset and the Star Destroyer, as well as a rare Australian edition Yak Face action figure in Power of the Force packaging.

As far as the original version of Boba Fett (with working rocket launcher) goes, no one is even sure that ANY actually exist (beware of counterfeits!). If you're going to search for this item, then you may as well look for the unproduced, second series of Ewoks and Droids action figures made by Kenner (which were supposedly only manufactured as prototypes-- never available for commercial sale).

Are you serious? I don't know if you received my mail earlier, but I sent you some the last time you were looking for a mail-order Boba Fett. So, I will post to the entire net. I have one, not in the blister pack (sorry, but I couldn't resist at that age!). At least they are the ones I think you are looking for... The one with the red rocket that goes about as high as mid-way up the helmet? Please, let me know if you would like to trade, or buy it... I would sacrafice one figure to get a few more for my collection (sadly lacking in the Jedi period, and ships, as I either destroyed them and my mother threw the rest away!) :( I also have a dewback and a TaunTaun if anyone needs one, and I'd love either a ATST (2-legger) or a Speeder Bike for my biker scout buddy, Bubba! :)

Also, Chris, I am an NCSU student too... We can meet if you want to make any sort of deal!

Years ago, when they were still selling SW figures in stores, I remember sending away for a special Boba Fett. I'm not positive what this one did or was supposed to do( I think it was the rocket launcher one). Anyway, weeks later, I was really disappointed when the one Kenner sent me was just an ordinary Boba Fett!

Oh well, my Boba Fett must be the regular kind... The rocket launcher does not work, the rocket is just fixed in the pack. Thought I had something there! Anyway, I am interested in the following:
ATST
Speeder Bike
Jedi figures I missed (Carmorean (sp) Guard, lots o' Ewoks, etc.)
The Emperor

Also, I am interested (though less so) in any vehicles.

Actually I think it may be easier to find the Boba Fett because it was *supposedly* a production figure (for a short while I guess). No I don't plan to look for prototype toys or I might as well be searching for some of the toys in the small Kenner catalogs such as: a completely white AT-AT, walrusman figure with brown legs and orange arms, *different* cantina and droid factory, and a grey TIE bomber to name a few. Please note I'm NOT trying to sound like a smart ass (but it reads like that to me :-) )

I prefer boxed items also, but I really don't think that you can compare the value of a *loose* TIE bomber to a loose X-Wing for example (or even a priceless Darth Vader figure case :-) )

And to answer another relevant post. I don't know how much $30 or $40 is in Australian money but it's a hell of a deal for a Han Solo in Carbonite in (U.S. bucks).
